Hybrid Working Model The role follows a hybrid schedule: office 3 days a week at
Alpharetta, GA (1 Edison Drive)
with the remaining days flexible in the office or remote.
About The Operations Analyst Program The program is tailored for recent or soon‑to‑be college graduates. It provides foundational knowledge in investment operations, data and technology enablement, and introduces evolving skillsets such as data analytics, automation, workflow engineering and AI. New hires begin as part of a cohort, participating in a 3‑week firm overview designed to prepare Analysts for the Operations organization at Parametric. Participants learn about products, services and how various business units at Parametric and across Morgan Stanley collaborate. At program conclusion, participants are aligned to one of the many Operations teams: Portfolio Administration, Corporate Actions, Trade Settlements, Account Onboarding, Account Activity Management, Account Oversight, and Billing Solutions, with opportunities to apply system thinking, data and process improvement skillsets to real‑world challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
Resolve operational issues with urgency and accuracy in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Research, analyze and resolve operational issues using data‑driven methods; communicate status updates regularly.
Collect observations and turn them into actionable insights and improvement recommendations.
Complete daily operations transactions (e.g., cash or position reconciliation, trade posting, market event processing, new account setup, account activity recording) accurately, timely and comprehensively.
Perform verification checks on similar work done by others to ensure information accuracy.
Maintain thorough and accurate client records and file maintenance.
Maintain metrics, data and documentation.
Support adoption of new tools and solutions in Operations (e.g., workflow automation, data reporting and analytics).
Assist with development and rollout of innovation initiatives such as metrics, data analytics, process optimization and AI‑ad hoc and project work as needed.
Job Requirements
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree with a STEM concentration (e.g., Industrial/Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Software Engineering, Data Management) or Finance, Accounting, Economics with strong technical aptitude.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred familiarity in one or more: Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Python or similar.
Ability to analyze, interpret and manage high volumes of data with tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and highly process‑oriented mindset.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while contributing effectively in teams.
Leadership skills encouraged, particularly in driving adoption of new processes and tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interest in starting a career in the investment management industry.
Must be able to work full‑time (40 hours a week) by the program start date.
Salary & Benefits Hourly rate: $28.85 (annualized base $60,000). Eligible for annual bonus and overtime. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary incentive compensation award and participation in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan.
