Product Owner - Data Focus Location: Draper, UT | Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder collaboration: Meet regularly with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Corporate Reporting, Commercial Apps, Enterprise Apps) to gather, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements; act as liaison between business teams and engineering to ensure clarity and alignment on project objectives.

Backlog management: Lead the creation and continuous refinement of the backlog for the project, capturing all approved project needs; prioritize backlog items based on business value and technical feasibility.

Agile execution: Work daily with the engineering team to plan, review, and execute project tasks, ensuring the successful completion of committed work in each sprint or Program Increment; facilitate agile ceremonies and maintain effective communication using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Requirement translation: Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and vice versa, ensuring that all team members understand project goals.

Project oversight: Monitor project progress, proactively address challenges, and adjust priorities to keep the project aligned with long-term strategic objectives; collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure that deliverables meet quality and performance standards.

Requirements

5+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or in a related role within a data‑centric environment.

Proven experience working with data platforms, analytics, or data‑driven marketing solutions.

Experience with data projects is strongly preferred; detailed technical expertise in data architecture and ETL processes is not required.

Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data governance.

Experience with cloud platforms—preferably Azure—and modern data tools such as Databricks (experience with Snowflake or similar platforms is a plus).

Extensive experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Excellent ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven decision‑making mindset.

Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

A comprehensive, prioritized backlog that represents all the needs for the project throughout the contract period.

Consistent and successful completion of committed work within each sprint or Program Increment, measured against predefined KPIs and milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or equivalent.

Background in healthcare, fintech, or regulated industries.

Knowledge of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).

Experience with machine learning models or AI‑driven marketing initiatives.
