A leading structural engineering consultancy based in Minneapolis seeks an energetic
Structural Project Engineer
to join its growing team. The firm specializes in structural design, building rehabilitation, and restoration projects, and is known for delivering innovative, client‑focused solutions across a range of building types.
Position Overview The Structural Project Engineer will play a key role in delivering structural engineering services for both new and existing buildings. The role involves investigations, structural analysis and design, and construction‑phase services across commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide structural engineering services including analysis, design, and construction oversight.
Conduct field investigations and prepare detailed engineering reports and repair recommendations.
Utilize 2D and 3D modeling tools to develop structural designs and coordinate with drafting teams.
Supervise and support CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineering staff.
Perform on‑site inspections and testing during construction phases.
Represent the firm in professional and community organizations to support business development.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
4‑8 years of experience in structural design using steel, concrete, masonry, or wood.
Industrial project experience strongly preferred, in addition to commercial or residential work.
Experience with building envelope systems, waterproofing, and restoration is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
