Responsibilities

Perform preliminary assessments, concept creation, and lead designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers.

Resolve internal and external problems.

Create and produce drawing and specification documentation.

Manage customer and vendor accessibility.

Lead the BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.

Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.

Conduct site visits and review technical documents.

Mentor and learn from senior team leaders.

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum 4 years of experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems.

Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.

Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems.

Familiarity with Navisworks.

Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.

Excellent project management skills.

Experience responding to RFPs.

Experience creating a budget for a project.

Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule.

Experience identifying and mitigating company risk.

Credential as an RCDD or the ability to attain it within one year of hire.

Ideal Qualifications

Experience working on other low‑voltage systems, including security, audio/visual, wireless.

Electrical engineering degree or related discipline.
