Job Summary: Stratus is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director, BOMs to lead the development, governance, and optimization of Bill of Materials across our signage, brand implementation, and facilities services projects. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability in our production and installation workflows, directly impacting cost control, inventory management, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BOM architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and systems integration, with a strong understanding of manufacturing and field service environments, especially in signage, energy solutions, and commercial remodeling.

Responsibilities BOM Strategy & Governance

Develop and implement enterprise-wide BOM standards, templates, and best practices tailored to signage, energy, and facilities services.

Ensure BOMs are structured to support modularity, scalability, and cost transparency across diverse product lines and service offerings.

Own the BOM lifecycle from initial creation through revision control and obsolescence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, Project Management, and Field Services to ensure BOMs reflect accurate materials, labor, and installation requirements.

Collaborate with Sales and Client Services to translate customer specifications into actionable BOMs.

Work closely with ERP and PLM teams to ensure BOM data integrity and system alignment.

Operational Excellence

Lead BOM audits to identify cost‑saving opportunities, material substitutions, and process improvements.

Support new product introductions (NPIs) and service expansions by developing BOM frameworks that accelerate time‑to‑market.

Monitor BOM‑related KPIs such as accuracy rate, change order frequency, and cost variance.

Team Leadership

Build and manage a high‑performing BOMs team; Provide coaching, training, and career development to ensure team expertise in Stratus‑specific workflows and technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent work experience preferred. Master’s or MBA a plus

8+ years of experience in BOM management preferred, preferably in signage, manufacturing, or facilities services

Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and installation workflows in commercial environments

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., IFS, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BOM management tools

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving process standardization

Familiarity with energy solutions (e.g., EV charging, LED retrofits) and their BOM implications

Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies

Knowledge of compliance standards related to materials and installations (UL, ADA, OSHA, etc.)

Travel

This role may travel due to the need for in‑person interaction with employees, customers, field partners, and/or business stakeholders. Travel may includelocal, regional, or nationaldestinations and may be conducted viaautomobile, air, or other modes of transportation. All travel must bepre‑approved in accordance with company policyand conducted in compliance with applicable safety and expense guidelines.

Pay Range

$100,000- $120,000 annually - Pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
