We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Tanner, AL. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely and safe handling of fertilizers and raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Accurately read and verify lot numbers and product expiration dates.
- Manually pick products based on paper pick tickets.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of fertilizers and raw materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Experience in a warehouse or material handling role, preferably with fertilizers or industrial materials.
- Ability to read and interpret lot numbers and product dates accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
- Proficiency in loading, unloading, and general labor tasks.

Work Environment
The role is based in a warehouse environment that requires handling heavy lifting, packaging, and the operation of forklifts and pallet jacks. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and dress appropriately, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
