Description The Pricing and Portfolio Analyst will support the acquisition, pricing, and performance oversight of auto-backed loan portfolios. This role combines financial analysis, underwriting support, pricing model maintenance, and performance forecasting to optimize portfolio returns while managing credit risk. The analyst will extract and analyze data, build and maintain financial models, prepare dashboards and reports, and contribute to the evaluation of routine and large bulk portfolio acquisitions. The role will also analyze complex data structures to generate useful business insights, develop reporting to monitor business critical results, and build solutions that enhance efficiencies. This role would utilize financial metrics and business acumen to impact investment opportunities. Supports leadership team with data consultation, data gathering, and financial/data analysis.

Essential Functions

Support portfolio acquisition and pricing by maintaining and updating pricing models and decision engines.

Build and maintain financial and valuation models.

Monitor portfolio performance, conduct scenario/sensitivity analysis, and provide variance reporting against forecasts.

Analyze financial and statistical data to monitor portfolio performance and influence pricing decisions for future portfolio purchases.

Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL, Excel, Python, or R; develop dashboards and scorecards in Tableau or Power BI.

Support preparation of materials for senior management.

Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in financial and operational data sets.

Identify process inefficiencies in reporting, underwriting, and pricing workflows; recommend and support automation or process improvements.

Assist in presentation of final analysis and recommendations in clear and actionable formats to internal stakeholders.

Identify and define new process improvement opportunities related to data and/or financial analysis and make recommendations about ACA’s approach to conducting business (ex: pricing, audit compliance, communication strategies for lenders and customers, etc.).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, quantitative, business, or technology discipline (business, finance, math, economics, statistics, IT, data analytics or related field).

Proficiency with Excel.

Experience or willingness to learn SQL, R, or Python.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to interpret financial modeling results.

Solid communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience or coursework with business disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in languages such as R or Python.

Undergraduate coursework with financial and/or data and statistical analysis.

Experience with Tableau or PowerBI.

Familiarity with predictive modeling, regression analysis, or machine learning.

Understanding of credit risk, recoveries, and risk/return trade‑offs in lending.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. The daily schedule may vary from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.

Travel No travel is expected for this position.
