Senior Design Specialist – A/2D/3D Structural Designer

100% Onsite – local candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense
Contract Duration:
1 year with two potential 1-year extensions

Base pay range $48.00/hr - $55.00/hr

must meet
all the following requirements to be considered. Incomplete applications or candidates without these qualifications will not be reviewed.
Minimum 8 years of experience
as a
Structural Designer , including detailing/design of building structures and commodity supports.
Proficiency with Hexagon’s S3D 3D modeling software.
Working knowledge of National Codes and Standards for structural design.
Ability to perform field walk-downs
Candidates must produce quality documentation with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have – Preferred Qualifications
Active DOE (L or Q) clearance held within the last two years
Previous experience at Savannah River Site (SRS) or a DOE facility
Impact You will support Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in delivering structural design and engineering support for a range of high-impact infrastructure and facility projects vital to U.S. national security, nuclear safety, and federal operations.
Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles to resolve construction challenges efficiently
Stay current with structural design technologies and hardware
Produce high-quality structural design documents
Perform regular site walk-downs and inspections
Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering support for complex builds
Education Requirements
Associate degree in a technical discipline + 10–12 years’ work experience
OR 12–16 years of practical structural design experience without a degree
Candidate must meet onsite location requirements (no remote work allowed).
