Responsibilities
Lead and manage the planning and architectural design for airport terminals and aviation-related facilities from concept through construction.
Develop design concepts that align with client goals, project budgets, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants.
Oversee preparation of design presentations, renderings, and construction documents.
Ensure design compliance with FAA, TSA, and ADA standards as applicable.
Participate in site assessments, construction administration, and quality reviews.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide technical guidance and project updates.
Manage and mentor junior architects and designers.
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
10+ years of professional architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on aviation/airport terminal design.
Proven experience in both new construction and renovation of terminal or concourse facilities.
Registered Architect (RA) – required.
Superior knowledge of FAA Airport Circulars, FAA funding guidelines, and airport design and construction administration processes.
Experience with airside/landside planning, passenger flow, and terminal modernization projects.
LEED accreditation or sustainability design experience desirable.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related design software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of building codes, airport design standards, and project delivery methods.
