Sales Hunter - BPS/BPO Manufacturing & Retail (US / North America)
Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US) NTT DATA is looking for a seasoned Sales Hunter to target and win new business within large manufacturing and retail organisations. You will drive client engagement with senior finance and operations leads, craft and sell compelling propositions combining finance‑transformation services (F&A outsourcing/shared services) with advanced analytics, automation and AI capabilities tailored to manufacturing and retail contexts. Role Overview
As a Sales Hunter, you will target new business opportunities, engage senior finance executives and retail/operations leaders, sell integrated solutions, develop new‑account penetration strategies, collaborate with internal teams, manage pipeline and forecast, understand manufacturing/retail ecosystems, align with marketing/product teams, and travel across North America. Key Responsibilities
Target and win new business opportunities within large manufacturing & retail enterprises in North America — with focus on finance & accounting transformation, shared services/outsourcing, and AI‑driven process optimisation. Engage senior finance executives (CFO, VP Finance, Director Shared Services), retail/operations leadership (COO, VP Supply Chain, Head Retail Ops), and digital/transformation leads. Sell integrated solutions combining F&A process expertise (order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, inventory finance, close‑to‑report, FP&A) with next‑gen AI/ML/Generative AI, data analytics, automation and cognitive services tailored for manufacturing and retail environments. Develop new‑account penetration strategies: identify target lists, conduct outbound prospecting (cold‑calls/LinkedIn), attend industry trade‑shows (manufacturing/retail tech), respond to RFPs, build high‑quality proposals. Collaborate with internal solutions, delivery and operations teams to architect custom service offerings for manufacturing/retail clients, differentiate against competitors and drive win‑rates. Manage pipeline and forecast in CRM; track sales metrics and report weekly/monthly to leadership. Understand manufacturing/retail ecosystems: supply‑chain finance, inventory finance, store financial operations, omni‑channel retail, global sourcing, shared services models; leverage this domain insight to craft differentiated sales strategies. Align with marketing/product teams to refine messaging, craft proof‑points and thought‑leadership content; represent the company at client workshops/events. Travel across North America (USA and Canada) to meet prospects, present to senior stakeholders and participate in industry forums. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred. ~15+ years of sales experience selling BPS/outsourcing or managed services (specifically F&A services) into large manufacturing or retail enterprises, with ~5+ years focussed on advanced AI/analytics/cognitive services. ~10 years’ experience in new‑business development (hunting) and closed complex multi‑tower deals (services + analytics + automation) in manufacturing or retail verticals. Strong understanding of finance & accounting processes in manufacturing/retail contexts (supply chain finance, store financial ops, inventory costing, etc.). Proven ability to engage and close with senior finance and executive stakeholders (CFO/COO level) in large enterprises in North America. ~10 years of consultative selling experience, solution‑oriented, strong negotiation skills and ability to articulate ROI for CFO/COO audience. Proven track record of forecasting, pipeline management and CRM rigour; strong self‑motivation, entrepreneurial mindset (hunter) and resilience; comfortable working remotely and cross‑functionally. Willing and able to travel frequently across North America. Desired / Plus Factors
Prior experience with FinTech organisations or next‑gen digital finance platforms. Exposure to global shared‑services/off‑shore delivery models or partner ecosystems. Experience selling services involving Generative AI, cognitive automation and analytics‑driven finance transformation.
