Position Summary
The Configuration Management Analyst I provides entry level creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOM) items.
Essential Functions
Creates and maintains traditional boat parents, traditional assemblies, traditional item masters, and production routers.
Utilizes nomenclature standards.
Maintains plant model list and list of structures by model.
Completes part number and structure searches and inquiries.
Generates part number reports and report comparisons.
Completes physical audits as needed.
Investigates allocation, kitting and non-BOM documentation discrepancies and errors.
Researches obsolescence.
Maintain lists of new product data by model.
Maintains MMP records for interplant disposition. ECN Coordination, verification and communication.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Experience / Qualifications
Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Experience with part numbers, engineering, inventory control or manufacturing preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Must be comfortable with and proficient in computer use
Travel Requirements Minimal
Physical Requirements
Regular computer work, and sitting
Occasional walking, standing, and lifting
Independent Judgement Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
