Paralegal
to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to our attorneys primarily in our pre-litigation while also contributing occasionally to the firm’s litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
Provide timely updates to clients and address their inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
Schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person meetings between attorneys and clients, ensuring seamless communication.
Request, obtain, and organize clients' medical and billing records.
Calendar and keep track of deadlines.
Draft correspondence, including demand letters and demand packages.
Set up insurance claims and communicate effectively with insurance adjusters.
Manage liens, subrogation claims, and billing reductions.
Prepare cases for and engage in settlement negotiation.
Organize digital and physical case files.
Support occasionally litigation files (drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery requests, and preparing for depositions, mediations, and/or trials).
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to think critically, solve problems independently, and demonstrate initiative in both legal and marketing tasks.
Motivation to complete a large volume of tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Willingness to pursue certification as a Notary Public (if not already certified).
Familiarity with legal software and office applications (Microsoft Office, etc.). Case-management-software experience is a plus. Filevine experience is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
