What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Handle assigned claims promptly and effectively, making decisions within delegated authority
Determine proper policy coverages and apply claims practices to resolve cases according to company guidelines
Open, close, and adjust reserves to ensure adequacy in line with company practices
Maintain current knowledge of insurance, local industry repair procedures, and market pricing
Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients, adhering to high standards of professional conduct
What is Required (Qualifications):
3-5 years of insurance field/property claims handling or adjusting experience
Proficiency with Xactimate and experience writing estimates and handling claims from start to finish
Background in construction, including residential, roofing, remodeling, and water mitigation
Strong customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
State licensing where required and successful completion of applicable claims certification training
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in a customer service environment with flexible work schedules and extended hours
Demonstrated knowledge of investigation, consultation, and settlement activities for extensive property damage claims
Ability to provide leadership to less experienced claims associates
