Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, professional, motivated and positive working environment with department personnel.

Enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements.

Start-up and Shut-down of Forming equipment.

Maintain labor efficiency at 100%.

Oversee the duties of operators and disseminate daily job assignments.

Ensure proper documentation and accounting of all inventory transactions.

Maintain the department in a clean and orderly manner and work with QA to uphold quality specifications.

Track web EFF issues and daily OEE, MEEF and scrap schedules.

Work closely with Group Leaders to maximize labor opportunities.

Check quality at the line, verify BOM compliance, and prevent label mix-ups.

Report daily room performance and any concerns during the shift.

Sign off on first piece inspections in the Cup Forming room.

Perform any other duties required by the leadership team.

Qualifications

High School diploma / GED.

Must have Journeyman certification or be willing to complete an apprenticeship program.

Advanced knowledge of plastic processing equipment and troubleshooting skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Prior production lead experience preferred; good mechanical ability.

Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.

Physical: able to stand/walk 7 hrs in an 8‑hr shift, 10 hrs in a 12‑hr shift; lift up to 35 lbs; use forklift; work overhead and in dusty environments.

Vision: stereoptic 20/40 or better, peripheral 70°+; read 10–12 point font at 12–18 inches.

Safe operation of ladders, steps, forklifts, and proper use of tools and measuring devices.
