Director of Acquisitions | Talent, M&A, Special Projects Are you a proven Financial Advisor whose growth has plateaued? Are you spending more time prospecting and managing administrative tasks than advising clients? Family Wealth Planning Partners (FWPP) is seeking an ambitious, growth‑minded advisor to anchor our new Louisville office. We provide the infrastructure, the marketing engine, and the appointments; you provide the expertise and the drive.

This is an opportunity to transition your existing client relationships ($4MM–$5MM+ portable book) to a platform built for scale. We handle the operational friction that limits your growth. Our in‑house marketing team and appointment‑setting infrastructure are designed to fill your calendar, allowing you to focus on high‑value activities: delivering comprehensive financial plans and closing new business sourced by the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as Lead Advisor

for a transitioning book of clients, executing seamless account transfers and establishing a proactive, high‑touch service model.

Deliver Comprehensive Planning

by conducting in‑depth discovery, creating holistic financial plans, and implementing investment and (where suitable) insurance solutions.

Execute on Firm‑Generated Leads

by managing a high‑activity calendar of first‑time appointments supplied by our in‑house marketing engine (TV, radio, digital, and live events).

Drive Net New Asset Growth

by converting prospects into long‑term, fee‑based AUM and generating self‑sourced opportunities through your local network.

Collaborate with Internal Teams

by partnering with planning, operations, and client service staff to ensure a seamless, high‑caliber client experience.

Uphold Fiduciary Standards

by adhering to all compliance policies, maintaining meticulous CRM hygiene, and ensuring all recommendations serve the client’s best interest.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

3–7+ years in a client‑facing financial advisory or wealth management role with demonstrated success in asset acquisition.

Portable Book:

A verifiable client book of $4 million or more in assets anticipated to transition.

Licensing:

Active Series 65 (or Series 7 and 66).

Insurance Licensing:

Active KY Life & Health licenses (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days).

Location:

Commitment to work in‑office daily at our new Louisville location.

Preferred Qualifications

Designations:

CFP, ChFC, WMCP, or AIF designations.

Clientele:

Experience advising pre‑retirees and retirees on retirement income strategies, tax planning, and estate coordination.

Mindset:

A coachable, high‑integrity, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for accountability and team collaboration.
