Job Description We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant with 2‑5 years of experience in staff accounting to join our team. This full‑time onsite role in Irvine requires proficiency in Excel and NetSuite. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and will assist with various accounting tasks and processes.
Responsibilities
Manage end‑of‑month close processes.
Handle accounts receivable for projects and manufacturing.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Assist and guide the accounts payable processor in Australia.
Process payroll for 45‑50 employees using the Justworks system.
Support project managers with budget‑to‑actual analysis.
Prepare inventory reports for a customer with an onsite warehouse, including collaboration with the customer’s finance team.
Assist with invoicing and other administrative duties.
Essential Skills
2‑5 years of experience in staff accounting.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Experience with NetSuite.
Strong skills in general ledger, reconciliation, month‑end close, journal entries, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
Personable and bubbly demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with various departments via verbal and written communication.
Work Environment The position is based in a corporate office in Irvine, operating on a 40‑hour work week from 9 AM to 6 PM. The team is small, consisting of a Director of Finance and the Staff Accountant. The role requires full‑time onsite work in a collaborative and communicative environment.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Irvine, California.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $38.46–$43.27 per hour.
