Job Summary
Driver / operator of company vehicles responsible for courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages. Performs inspections of shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Licensing High school diploma or GED. Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must meet qualifications in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Requires medical exam for a non‑covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Pay & Working Hours Pay: $24.21 – $35.96 per hour.
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
