Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. The role involves developing individualized treatment plans to help patients improve communication abilities and swallowing function.
Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and treatments for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Develop and modify individualized treatment and discharge plans
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure effective care coordination
Adhere to infection control, safety, and ethical practice standards
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (MS/MA)
Active Alabama SLP license (or ability to obtain)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY eligibility
Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills
