POSITION OVERVIEW Leads the Solution Architecture (SA) chapter to advance enterprise-wide architecture standards, mentor solution architects, and ensure product-level systems align with business needs and enterprise-approved designs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Mentor and develop chapter members, technical growth, coaching, and continuous improvement within solutions.

Oversee the Solution Architecture (SA) chapter, ensuring chapter members consistently apply enterprise architecture (EA) guidance to product-level designs.

Stay abreast of industry trends in both LTL and technology.

Provide design governance and feedback, reviewing solutions from chapter members to ensure scalability and compliance with enterprise standards.

Promote architecture methodologies, patterns and standards, driving adoption of best practices, reusable frameworks and modern engineering approaches within the chapter.

Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, including workshops, training sessions, and office hours, to advance technical expertise and adoption of standards.

Facilitate cross-team collaboration, partnering with product, engineering, and enterprise technology leaders to resolve architectural challenges and maintain design integrity.

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, and/or related field or equivalent formal training.

Five (5) years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or IT application delivery.

Proven experience in leading large groups of solution architects.

Strong knowledge of solution architecture standards, scalability, security principles and integration.

Familiarity with freight, supply chain, or operationally intensive industry solutions.

Strong collaboration skills to align product, engineering and technology teams.

Technical leadership and mentorship to guide solution architects and foster adoption of enterprise standards and best practices.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Harrison, AR/Memphis, TN/Dallas, TX/Pittsburgh, PA/Lakeland, FL/Brookfield, WI. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
