TEC teams drive innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver engineered solutions that enhance performance and sustainability across Chevron’s assets. We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedSenior Specialistto join ourHealth, Safety, and Environment (HSE)team within the TEC. This role focuses on subsurface water and wastewater management, providing strategic technical guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance across Chevron’s operations. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Provide expert technical guidance on water and wastewater issues associated with company operations and assets worldwide, including produced water management, subsurface water disposal, water sourcing from saline formation waters, groundwater chemistry and migration.

Develop and manage technology research and technical service projects to address and mitigate known or potential environmental risks related to water issues.

Advise operations and capital project teams on water quality issues. Develop and monitor test plans to assess the effectiveness of existing processes and emerging technologies.

Review proposed regulations and operational changes to ensure alignment with compliance requirements.

Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting initiatives related to water management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related field preferred. Doctorate degree preferred.

Technical knowledge and experience in subsurface chemistry, hydrologic models, groundwater chemistry, and groundwater migration.

Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver results with minimal oversight.

Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience working in the energy industry or with regulatory agencies is a plus.
