Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Planning or a closely related field.

7+ years of responsible experience as an owner’s representative, project facilitator, construction manager or design and construction contracting experience.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively facilitate meetings.

Experience working in dynamic environments around guest or facility activity.

Knowledge of eBuilder is not required but preferred.

Candidates with occupied renovation experience are preferred.

Candidates with previous university, K‑12 or institution experience are preferred.

Experience managing projects with construction cost over $7.5M.

Experience managing new construction or renovation of commercial buildings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).

Knowledge of building systems, including MEP, interiors, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Ability to create and manage project schedules using MS Project or similar software.

Ability to build and manage reports based on the client’s needs.

Ability to work both independently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred experience around projects over 30M, experience with DC/VA/MD public school systems, projects located in flood plains.

Responsibilities and Duties

Day‑to‑day management of the entire project lifecycle for K‑12 schools modernizations to include renovations and new construction.

Lead all project stakeholders to include architects, engineers, contractors, specialty vendors, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop and manage project schedule and budget with support from the client team.

Obtain internal approvals from all client stakeholders at major project milestones (award, GMP approval, substantial completion, etc.).

Ensure contractor performance is conducted in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and quality control guidelines.

Monitor and oversee the project design or construction effort, to include but not limited to risk management, security and safety compliance, etc.

Conduct comprehensive reviews of construction submittals and construction contract.

Provide project administration and contract administration duties, including records management.
