Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
An early-stage venture firm is hiring a business partner/personal executive assistant to support the founder in a highly unique role. The right candidate will work directly with the founding investor and will lead everything outside of investing, including operations, communications, systems, events, and the overall rhythm of the firm; as well as personal assistant support. The role will be in a hybrid work format located in SF and salary will be $160-180K.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain the operational backbone: fund admin coordination, capital calls, legal and tax workflows, documentation, and internal systems.
Lead founder and investor experience: onboarding new portfolio companies, tracking milestones, preparing updates, and ensuring communications are precise, thoughtful, and timely.
Plan and execute small, high-touch gatherings such as founder dinners, workshops, and off‑sites, with end‑to‑end ownership of logistics.
Manage scheduling, travel, vendor relationships, event prep, and occasional personal logistics to protect focus where it matters most.
Serve as the local point of coordination in the Bay Area — for events, workspace setup, errands, and on‑the‑ground problem solving.
Handle personal tasks and projects as needed.
What Success Looks Like
Quiet, consistent excellence over hype or volume.
Systems that create clarity, precision, and long‑term leverage.
Operational decisions made with intention rather than habit.
Thoughtful touches that make founders and investors feel seen and supported.
A trusted partnership with the founder marked by strong judgment, initiative, and follow‑through.
This role is high‑trust and high‑autonomy. The cadence isn’t fixed — some weeks involve events, travel, or weekend commitments; others are open and self‑directed. It is long‑term, foundational work that will shape how the firm operates for years ahead.
