For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. The CRED workforce initiative provides a vital support to young adults ages 18 to 40. The program aims to serve as a pathway to help unemployed, underemployed, or individuals impacted by community violence to gain a long-term employment and economic stability. Through CRED, participants engage in work readiness training, sector-based occupational training with a focus on construction and healthcare career pathways. The program integrates wraparound supportive services, including case management, mental health counseling, academic support, and job placement assistance, to ensure participants can fully engage and remain successful throughout their training and transition into full-time employment. STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Job Developer will provide high quality work readiness, internship and work experience, job placement and follow-up support to all clients. Assist the Program Manager in monitoring job training components. The Job Developer will assist participants in securing unsubsidized employment, improving financial stability, and achieving self‑sufficiency through skills assessment, job training, employer partnerships, and ongoing support to employment retention. Conduct high quality outreach to develop employment opportunities and internships leading to job placements in the construction and health care sectors. Facilitate job readiness workshops and training sessions with other staff to enhance participants' skills in areas such as resume writing, interview preparation, marketing of newly developed skills and workplace communication. Provide personalized coaching and mentorship to empower participants during their internship and placement. Provide job placement follow‑up support which include monitoring participants at the work site, resolving conflicts, and job replacements if/when necessary. Match participants to positions that will align with their experience and interests. Monitor and assist with Job retention along with the case manager, outreach retention specialist and mental health counselor. Provide program retention via integrating peer‑to‑peer support. Examples include activities such as retreats, peer support groups, workshops, and presentations. Develop employment plans in coordination with participants and case managers. Identify client needs and facilitate referrals to appropriate internal and external services. Collaborate with Case Managers and Mental Health Professional to address client barriers and ensure service delivery. QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in human services is preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with 3 additional years of experience. 2 years’ experience serving the target population in a successful job development, employer engagement, recruitment and targeted industry experience in the Construction and health care industry. Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task‑oriented, non‑judgmental, and clear sense of boundaries. Ability to work with culturally diverse individuals. Must be available to work in person 5 days a week. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings according to the needs of program operation. Must be able to travel between numerous sites in different boroughs. Must be able to climb stairs if necessary. BENEFITS
