Base pay range $88,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

The company operates three distinct divisions with significant market share and a strong track record of profitable growth.
Role Summary Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager is a key partner to executive leadership in the execution of strategic growth and achievement of financial goals. This position supports the accounting/finance team with recent company growth, leads daily operations of the department, and collaborates with functional leaders to develop and execute strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Manage project accounting and work closely with project managers
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports
Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit and tax processes
Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Monitor compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Mentor and develop junior accounting staff
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA designation strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Great Plains, NetSuite, SAP)
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Lead external audits
Willing and able to be on-site
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the construction industry
Experience with project accounting revenue recognition
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics / Great Plains
Familiarity with ERP implementation or system upgrades
Experience working in a PE-sponsored company is valued
