Position Summary At Thorne, we’re looking for a strategic and hands‑on leader to oversee our Warehouse and Distribution operations. In this role, you’ll ensure that our products move efficiently, safely, and in full alignment with our high standards for quality and compliance. You’ll lead teams, optimize processes, and drive performance so that every order leaves our facilities on time and meets the excellence our customers expect.

Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and oversees activities of the Warehouses and Distribution department. Ensures timely and cost- effective receipt and delivery of products, materials, other items in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Provides leadership to the Warehouse and Distribution staff and communicates direction with clarity both written and orally.

Works with Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Channel Management to manage relationships with strategic distribution partners.

Ensures Warehousing and Distribution activities function at a maximum level of efficiency and at the highest quality possible.

Develops, measures, monitors, and communicates warehouse and distribution performance metrics (KPIs) to Leadership and uses those to manage the department and staff.

Keeps the Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Channel Management informed about any potential opportunities, risks, and recommended actions that may affect the department.

Leads a high-performance team, develops and strengthens staff, and provides ongoing coaching and feedback.

Ensures training and certification programs are current and reviewed on a timely basis.

Builds effective partnerships with department heads to help drive the business toward achieving company objectives.

Conducts formal and informal performance assessments of staff, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential, and seeks the same for self.

Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organizational structure of the warehouse, using industry best practices, and for adherence to all Company and OSHA safety standards.

Ensures accurate information of Thorne inventory, including overseeing inventory integrity, cycle counts, inventory reports, inventory transfers and adjustments, cost evaluations, and general ledger codes.

Ensures the proper maintenance of Warehouse and Distribution equipment and, if necessary, coordinates with maintenance for repairs.

What You Need

Bachelor’s Degree required. Graduate degree preferred.

7+ years of warehouse and distribution experience required with at least 3 years’ experience at a Managerial level.

Understanding of warehouse and distribution principles, inventory management and order fulfillment principles, logistics parties, and industry standard ERP systems.

Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word as well as overall knowledge of inventory management software. Must have sufficient data entry skills and be detail oriented to process inventory documentation.
