The role requires a willingness to learn, excellent service orientation, and schedule flexibility. What You Will Have an Opportunity to Do
As Banquet Manager you will supervise the execution of Banquet Event Orders, ensuring standards of service and client preferences are met. Candidate Profile
Education Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or equivalent. Experience At least 1 year of supervisory/management experience in Food & Beverage; luxury environment preferred. Licenses or Certificates Preferred: TIPS and ServSafe Certification. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Banquets Management Team with day‑to‑day activities and assignments of Banquets Staff. Oversee Banquet Service team, ensuring adherence to Boston Harbor Hotel service standards. Provide guidance to banquet house men staff regarding facility and equipment maintenance. Accurately execute all policies to improve quality, service, and operations. Inspect all function rooms prior to service, reporting discrepancies to Engineering. Engage in ongoing development of Banquet staff and hold the team accountable for performance. Communicate with clients to ensure full guest satisfaction. Participate in meetings: BEO Meeting, F&B Meeting, and other Banquets Department meetings. Monitor team member work with detailed eye organization to ensure timeliness, standards, and accuracy. Work on special tasks as assigned by the Director of Banquets. Job Qualifications
Knowledge of banquet operations and luxury core standards. Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to multi‑task and prioritize. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently. Effective leadership and teamwork skills. Sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficient in English; second language desirable. Experience with Microsoft Office and industry payroll systems. Compensation
