Spemocean Pte. Ltd.
Responsibility
Design & Engineering:
Develop comprehensive corrosion management strategies for offshore structures, pipelines, and equipment exposed to aggressive Persian Gulf marine environment. Specify materials selection for new wellhead jackets, production platforms, and subsea pipelines considering H2S, CO2, and seawater corrosion mechanisms. Design cathodic protection systems for offshore structures including sacrificial anodes and impressed current systems. Conduct corrosion risk assessments for existing infrastructure modifications and new installations.
Technical Analysis: Perform corrosion modeling and life prediction analysis for structural components and process equipment. Evaluate corrosion allowances and material specifications for piping systems, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers. Review and approve corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) specifications for sour service applications. Assess coating systems and application procedures for offshore structures and equipment.
Project Coordination: Interface with structural, mechanical, piping, and process engineering teams to ensure integrated corrosion management. Review vendor technical proposals and equipment specifications for corrosion resistance compliance. Support procurement activities by developing corrosion engineering requirements and material specifications. Prepare corrosion engineering deliverables including design basis documents, material selection reports, and inspection plans.
Quality Assurance: Develop inspection and monitoring programs for corrosion-critical equipment and structures. Support construction and installation phases with technical guidance on welding procedures and coating applications. Ensure compliance with international standards including NACE, API, DNV, and client specifications.
Experience Bachelor's degree in Materials, Chemical, or Corrosion Engineering. Minimum 8-12 years experience in offshore oil & gas corrosion engineering. NACE Corrosion Specialist certification preferred. Proficiency in corrosion modeling software and cathodic protection design.
