Senior Network Engineer

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bedford, TX, for a Senior Network Engineer. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. Day-to-day tasks include network administration, troubleshooting network issues, enhancing network security, and optimizing network design to meet organizational needs. The engineer will work collaboratively with IT teams to maintain a secure and efficient network system.
Qualifications
Expertise in Network Administration and Network Engineering
Strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving network issues
Proficiency in Network Security, including safeguarding systems and data
Experience in Network Design and system optimization
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus
Key Responsibilities
Operate and support Broadcast network infrastructure
Maintain and support Broadcast network equipment and services
Support the Segmented Network Environment between Corporate IT and Broadcast Production networks
Implement firewall policies and rule implementation
Implement and manage Network Access Control
Work collaboratively with IT and Production teams for network security enforcement
Support Juniper and Arista switching environments
Maintain VLAN configuration and segmentation
Support multicast traffic (PIM, IGMP)
Assist with QoS configuration for media workflows
Monitor network health and performance
Perform log analysis and support SIEM tools (FortiAnalyzer)
Troubleshoot issues affecting broadcast operations
Escalate network issues to IT Network Engineering when required
Support IP broadcast workflows such as SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, NDI
Maintain network connectivity for ingest, playout, routing, monitoring, and control systems
Assist NOC and Studio Engineering with signal transport and media‑over‑IP troubleshooting
Support streaming and CDN connectivity
Assist IT Network Engineering with network segmentation and network security policies
Participate in network planning, installation, testing, and deployment activities
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and operational teams to ensure a seamless network infrastructure
Coordinate with IT, Production and Engineering teams to support Broadcast operations
Share knowledge with Engineering team members to improve troubleshooting capability
Maintain accurate and current documentation including diagrams, device records, system notes, and workflow mapping
Requirements
Experience
Five or more years of professional network engineering experience
Experience supporting networks in broadcast, media, or production environments
Technical skills
Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls
Experience with Juniper and Arista switching
Knowledge of VLANs, QoS, routing (OSPF, BGP)
Familiarity with multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP)
Experience with segmented networks
Experience with SIEM or log analysis tools such as Splunk, ELK, or FortiAnalyzer
