CNC Programmer Lead
Irvine, CA | 6+ month contract to hire | $40–$45 per hour. Immediate hire.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and solid models.
Load and unload raw materials safely in CNC machinery.
Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills independently.
Reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
Edit G‑code programming and perform tool wear offsets.
Identify and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance of CNC machinery.
Requirements
High school education or equivalent; trade school certificate helpful.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical assembly processes.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, blueprints, ISO 9001 Assembly Procedures, and other related documents.
Proficient with Haas controls.
Self‑sufficient and able to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance.
Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
Understands, interprets, and edits G‑code programming.
Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
Understands and performs tool wear offsets.
Effective communication with superiors and other employees one‑on‑one or in small groups.
