Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL
A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist position is available for the 2025‑2026 school year, serving students from PreK through 8th grade in a K‑8 educational setting located in Chicago, IL. This contract role offers guaranteed hours and a dedicated caseload, providing an opportunity to apply specialized skills in school‑based speech‑language pathology while supporting a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in grades PreK‑8.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
Collaborate with educators and families to support communication goals.
Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP‑CCC) preferred.
Experience working in K‑12 school environments.
Knowledge of pediatric speech‑language pathology principles and practices.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, staff, and families.
