Job Summary
The Manager, FP&A leads the B2C Sales and Marketing team through the budget, forecast, and monthly close cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role prepares relevant financial schedules to provide insights into performance and variances against targets and supports monthly expense reporting and accrual submissions to the accounting department. This pivotal role drives informed decision‑making through comprehensive financial analysis and collaboration with the Managing Director to provide actionable insights to support strategic choices, ensuring effective communication across teams.
Responsibilities
Lead B2C Sales and Marketing teams through the monthly close process via monthly activity review meetings.
Compile accurate and on‑time monthly reporting of expenses vs. budget/forecast through analysis and tracking of operating and capital expenses, and provide commentary for expense vs. budget/forecast for senior management review.
Prepare relevant financial review schedules, including trend analysis, budget summaries, YOY analysis, and expense roadmaps for senior management.
Provide accurate monthly expense tracking to accounting for accrual preparation.
Maintain prepaid expense tracking and amortization schedule.
Review invoices relating to supported business units and work with team and vendors to validate activity and budget impact.
Assist in the annual LRP/budget and monthly re‑forecasting efforts for supported groups.
Lead workforce management and review for B2C Sales and Marketing.
Review capital activity to validate proper classification.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and develop models for ad‑hoc analysis.
5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance, including preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
Prior experience with financial reporting tools (Hyperion, Oracle, Essbase).
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and leaders at all levels.
Detail oriented with the ability to analyze problems, probe facts, question assumptions, and provide solutions and alternatives.
Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally with strong follow‑up skills.
Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas, pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
High degree of integrity, strong and effective communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems using fact‑based decision‑making.
