Responsibilities
Design and produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and conduit runs for motor starter and VFD control panels using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD software.
Select and specify electrical components, including contactors, overloads, breakers, fuses, disconnects, transformers, relays, and VFDs, ensuring proper sizing and coordination.
Integrate VFDs and motor starters with PLC-based control systems for compressor, condenser, and pump operation.
Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), terminal lists, and wiring schedules.
Ensure all control panel designs comply with UL 508A, NEC, and customer requirements.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), internal quality inspections, and provide engineering support for troubleshooting and startup activities.
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and service departments to address design-related issues or improvements.
Review customer specifications, submittal requirements, and assist in the preparation of technical documentation for proposals or submittals.
Maintain organized and updated project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Support continuous improvement of electrical design standards, templates, and drafting practices.
Requirements

Knowledge of analog input/output and digital input/output signals.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of harmonic mitigation, heat dissipation, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design considerations.
Experience designing UL 508A‑listed panels and preparing associated certification documentation.
Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Wago automation platforms.
Familiarity with industrial refrigeration systems, including compressor sequencing, condenser control, and pump management.
