What You Will Be Doing
Design and preparation of Protection and Control drawings, including:
Protective Schemes
Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines
AC/DC Schematics
Substation Panel Layouts
Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule
SCADA and Communication Diagrams
DC and AC System calculations
Development of Equipment Specifications and Selections based on client criteria
Preparation of Bills of Materials based on design criteria
Coordination with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables
Participation in client meetings and site visits for data gathering as required
Incorporating vendor information into design deliverables
Application of client standards related to the work
Field support during construction
Ensuring QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages
Continuous improvement of technical knowledge, skills, and performance
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Engineering (preferably electrical or computer)
5+ years of protection and controls experience
5+ years experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Knowledge of industry standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI
Experience with design techniques and tools for technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
Pay Range $89,203.00 – $151,646.00 (Nationwide Remote Office – US)
