HVAC Punch Out Technician
KEP Electric/ IES RESIDENTIAL, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, 45208
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled HVAC Punch Out Technician to join our residential installation team. In this role, you will handle the final inspection, testing, and correction of HVAC systems after installation—ensuring every system operates efficiently, meets code and company standards, and is ready for customer handoff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform final inspections, testing, and adjustments on residential HVAC systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with code and company standards.
Identify and correct any installation deficiencies, including ductwork adjustments, wiring, refrigerant charging, and system calibration.
Complete all punch list items promptly and accurately to close out jobs.
Collaborate with installation teams, office staff, and customers to ensure a seamless project completion.
Maintain detailed records and complete digital or paper punch lists and quality control forms.
Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized; maintain tools and company vehicle in excellent condition.
Minimum Education None
Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 years
Required Qualifications
2+ years of HVAC installation or service experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
Strong communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an HVAC trade school or technical training program
Experience using digital punch list tools, CRM systems, or field service software
License Required Yes
