Purpose The Executive Director is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and occupancy of the AgeWell Solvere Living Managed Community, including financial management, business planning, program development, staff management, and delivery of high‑quality services to residents and their families. The role requires proactive communication with the direct supervisor about any potential threats to the community and adherence to all regulations and policies established by AgeWell Solvere Living.
Management / Financial
Maintain ongoing compliance with local, state, federal, regulatory, and accrediting body standards.
Prepare the community for regulatory inspections through regular audits and updates of policies, procedures, medical records, and environmental standards.
Maintain monthly financial reports and explain variances.
Oversee departmental budgets and guide department heads to meet budgetary guidelines.
Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
Implement systems and processes to monitor quality of care, service delivery, and compliance; review quality indicators and address variances.
Optimize opportunities to generate revenue and ancillary revenue.
Maintain and increase occupancy in accordance with budget.
Promote staff participation, involvement, and leadership in daily operations and decision‑making.
Lead staff meetings to foster team building.
Provide ongoing support, direction, supervision, and performance feedback to all staff.
Communicate with team members to address resident and family inquiries.
Oversee hiring, recruitment, employee relations, separations, and filing of staff records.
Coordinate and complete evaluations for department heads; manage disciplinary processes.
Lead the management team in supporting the mission and values of the organization.
Resident Care
Ensure high‑quality services as desired by residents.
Protect resident rights and educate staff, residents, and families about those rights.
Coordinate with the Wellness Director on move‑in processes, leases, and resident service plans.
Respond promptly to family, resident, and team member requests.
Act as liaison between management, residents, and families.
Maintain competitive market analysis data and detailed competitor comparisons.
Ensure timely and accurate use of vital signs within the community.
Maintain a positive first impression for the community.
Resolve community presentation issues.
Grow occupancy to maximum levels.
Collaborate with department heads on sales and marketing action plans.
Assign a Manager on Duty for weekend coverage as scheduled.
Sales / Marketing
Represent the community in public settings.
Promote the AgeWell Solvere Living Managed Community within the local community.
Use Sherpa system accurately and timely.
Generate leads and assist in closing sales.
Compliance and Safety
Enforce OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
Ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations related to assisted living operations.
Follow all emergency procedures.
Understand safety policies and procedures.
Investigate and review all on‑site injuries.
Qualifications
State required licensing and certification (if applicable).
Excellent customer service and public relations skills.
Experience working with seniors.
Experience operating and maintaining a customer‑focused environment in a senior living facility.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Meet all current state regulatory requirements for licensed assisted living communities.
Demonstrated integrity and leadership skills.
Sincere passion for working with our senior population.
Promote the community positively and communicate company values to residents, families, visitors, and team members.
Physically capable of bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40–50 pounds when necessary.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods.
Spend at least 30% of time traveling to referral sources in the market area.
