Summary:
Vice President, Business & Community Banking is a producing leader responsible for building and growing Frontier Bank’s portfolio of small business, residential, and commercial clients. This individual will serve as a leader within the branch and the community, partnering with the operations manager to drive growth and engagement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Embody and promote Frontier Bank of Texas values: Honesty, Loyalty, Dependability, Leadership, Community, and Respect.
Collaborate with the operations manager to guide the branch team in achieving deposit and loan growth, staff development, cross-training, and operational excellence.
Proactively identify, cultivate, and maintain meaningful relationships with household, small business, and commercial clients for deposit and loan services.
Conduct financial analysis, structure credit solutions, and oversee credit quality within assigned portfolios.
Maintain comprehensive expertise in the Bank’s products, services, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
Serve as a visible representative of the Bank at civic and community events to enhance brand presence and support business development, including CRA initiatives.
Leverage advanced prospecting tools such as S&P Global and Vertical IQ to expand and strengthen client relationships.
Complete all required annual training and actively pursue ongoing professional growth.
Monitor credit quality, conduct annual portfolio reviews, and manage covenant compliance.
Participate in loan committee meetings, ensuring timely decisions and accurate documentation.
Demonstrate curiosity and skill in initiating conversations that foster strong relationships with customers, prospects, and community members.
Effectively promote and sell the Bank’s advanced digital banking solutions, including top-rated treasury management products, mobile and online banking, debit and credit cards, and related services.
Execute all sales and service activities related to onboarding new customers and deepening relationships with existing clients.
Partner with other Portfolio Managers to identify and secure new business opportunities, including deposits, loans, and related services.
Education/Experience:
College-level coursework and/or a degree in finance, business management, or accounting is highly encouraged. Minimum of 5 years of banking experience preferred. Must be NMLS-licensed and experienced in small business, residential, and commercial lending. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships inside and outside the bank.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Comfortable using CSI, Sageworks/Abrigo, CRM tools, and other advanced banking software.
Driving Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain personal vehicle insurance that meets the state's minimum requirements. A satisfactory driving record is essential. Reliable, insured personal transportation is required for commuting to assigned branch locations, attending client meetings, and participating in community events as needed. Frequent travel is required for this position.
