Job Summary Provide a positive, well‑managed environment in the assistant principals’ office, and assist the vice‑principals and assistant principal as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in typing, word processing, and file maintenance; effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to operate a computer using a variety of basic applications.
Minimum Experience:
One (1) year of clerical/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinate visits by students, teachers, and parents to the vice‑principals’ offices.
Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and schedule appointments.
Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed.
Maintain proper files as required.
Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports as requested.
Maintain confidentiality of information and loyalty to the district.
Remain informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions.
Equipment Used Computer, fax machine, copier, telephone, etc.
Working Conditions Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem‑solving skills while under stress. Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of computer. Work with frequent interruptions.
