Job Overview We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team. This opportunity can be based out of any of our Indiana offices. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with experience working on LPA and/or INDOT roadway design projects. Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position, the candidate will:

Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway projects

Support project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects.

Take a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation.

Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

Delegate work to project team members.

Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.

Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks.

Assist with proposals or funding applications.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards.

May perform other duties associated with this role

Qualifications for this role:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license

8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience

Proficiency with project scheduling tools and software

Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Valid Driver's License
