Quality Control Receiving Inspector

We are looking for a skilled Quality Control Receiving Inspector to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an on-site position based in Huntington Beach, CA where you will support our manufacturing operations. Job Summary The Quality Control Receiving Inspector is responsible for interpreting engineering data such as drawings and specifications and inspecting in accordance with the data. The inspector must use standard measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc. Responsibilities include visual and dimensional inspections of aviation parts, from details to sub‑assemblies, ensuring visual and cosmetic standards are met. The inspector must clearly write nonconformance reports and assist in corrective action investigations.
Summary of Job Duties Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)
Interpret engineering data such as drawings and specifications
Competent in using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators
Perform visual and dimensional inspection
Perform receiving and first‑article inspections
Perform inspections to visual and cosmetic standards
Write inspection reports and nonconformance reports
Understand root cause and participate in corrective actions
Perform review of supplier certifications for conformance to requirements
Data collection for statistical analysis
Must understand and be able to interpret tolerances
Understand application and use of all types of precision measuring instruments used in mechanical inspection, including interpretations of geometrical and positional tolerance requirements
Travel as required to support suppliers or source/auditing inspection program
Education
A high school diploma is required.
Two‑year college (Associate Degree), trade/technical school, or certification is desired.
Experience
A minimum of 3–5 years of direct experience.
Other
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Extended, irregular, or irregular hours may be required.
Elevate Aircraft Seating is an “at will” employer; employment is at the mutual consent of both the employee and the employer, and may be terminated at will for any reason, with or without cause, at any time during employment with the Company.

Certificates and Licenses
ASQ certification desired.
Supervision Provided to the Position
Direction with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and is measured based upon how well tasks have been completed. Receives detailed instructions as needed.
Problem Solving
Develop and provide solutions to complex problems based on established precedents and are consistent with organization objectives.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Hourly Rate Transparency:
$25.00 – $27.00 per hour
