Responsibilities

Exemplify Amcor behaviors and values at all times, leading by example and exhibiting professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor internally and externally.

Work professionally with other associates and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Inspect products to ensure quality and set aside any that do not meet standards.

Coordinate with supervisors on quality issues and provide timely responses.

Schedule and give breaks to packers and handlers.

Maintain production supplies such as bags, gaskets, handles, labels, tray packs, and TPI’s.

Handle part inspection, trimming, hot stamping, handle installation, gasket installation, and packing per instructions; verify pull‑apart, stacking, labeling, and documentation of finished product; transfer from presses to staging for shrink wrap.

Report safety, machinery, raw material, or quality concerns to Shift Supervisor or Quality Assurance.

Correctly document production and downtime on reports.

Communicate any immediate concerns to the Shift Supervisor and work effectively as a team member.

Ensure proper packaging, labeling, stacking, banding, and wrapping of handles for shipment.

Assist clientele with raw material supply to packers and handlers.

Remove trash and recyclable goods throughout the shift and at the end of each shift.

Understand technical process and raw materials to keep each workstation supplied as needed.

Exhibit leadership and management skills.

Assist in training associates and quality inspection on each machine.

Follow proper packaging procedures to prevent damage during shipping.

Properly label products for shipment and keep production goals on track.

Perform various other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a fast‑paced, production environment.

Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including bump cap, safety eyewear or prescription safety eyewear, safety shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, and disposable mask.

Good hand‑eye coordination is required.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.

Must keep up with fast‑paced production cycles.

Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail.

Must identify alpha/numeric product codes.

Must work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

Good communication skills – verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate.

Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
