Union Power & HVAC Road Technician 2 – Sunbelt Rentals, Inc.
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a dedicated Pump & Power Road Technician 2 to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment on our fleet of pumps, generators, HVAC systems, and compressors. The role requires advanced technical skills, a strong safety record, and a commitment to high service quality.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair all mechanical, electrical, and electronic components on pump, power, HVAC, and compressor equipment.
Perform advanced and complex repairs, including engine, generator, compressor, and HVAC system service.
Lead and train other technicians when the Shop Foreman or Service Manager is absent.
Maintain accurate work orders, service logs, and parts records.
Adhere to all safety, EEO, and equal opportunity policies.
Qualifications
5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, diesel, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
Mastery of load bank repairs and advanced operation of dehumidification equipment.
Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and motor starting.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Pay Range $40.57 to $42.57 per hour (hourly wage varies under the collective bargaining agreement for this location).
