Overview The Program Director of Clubs is responsible for assisting the development and management of sport programs, ensuring the effective operation of FCA Sports processes, systems, and resources across Clubs. This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate sports management with ministry, fostering a Christ-centered Club that promotes both athletic excellence and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage club operations, establish logistics, secure facilities, and maintain relationships with governing bodies, clubs, and tournaments.

Develop outreach strategies, expand program offerings, and cultivate strategic partnerships to grow participation.

Assume ministerial duties: agree with FCA's Christian Community, conduct spiritual rhythm (daily prayer and Bible study), lead spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example.

Assist Club Administration: fulfill FCA administration requirements, register clubs in VIP, implement Club Management System (Sports Connect), onboard coaches and volunteers, and manage financial operations.

Fulfill external administration requirements with governing bodies, clubs, tournaments, referee associations, and playing facilities.

Coordinate procurement and distribution of uniforms and equipment.

Secure facilities for training and competition; order uniforms and coach gear through FCA Gear specialist.

Organize evaluations, coach & referee training, practices, games, season tournaments, and end-of-season celebrations.

Create calendars for tryouts, training, competition, camps, and other ministry opportunities.

Actively train coaches by modeling, assisting, launching, and mentoring them; supervise tryouts, practices, and games to ensure sport and ministry excellence.

Provide quality parent communication and ministry.

Develop relationships with governing bodies and other clubs; engage them with the Gospel through the work and commitment to excellence and integrity.

Market clubs well, recruit families and athletes.

Resolve conflicts; collaborate with facility contacts on usage protocols; maintain relationships with local church staff; integrate local church involvement; ensure continued ministry after the sports season.

Lead ministry advancement: engage, equip, and empower coaches, athletes, and volunteers through 1-on-1s, huddles, and events; integrate ministry within sports focusing on spiritual growth; lead discipleship and development opportunities; implement the comprehensive FCA Sports E3 Strategy; build a community of coaches committed to growth and celebration.

Talent advancement: recruit, train, and develop volunteers aligned with ministry growth; build a bench through development of others for roles and leadership.

Donor advancement: connect, communicate, and care for financial partners; manage finances; establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan; initiate fundraising; minister to donors and board members.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and ministry experience in a Christian context.

Background in sports administration and club management.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to Christian principles, prayer, and Bible study.

Ability to lead, train, and develop coaches, volunteers, and athletes.
