Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to enhance our financial operations. This role involves supporting month‑end close processes, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and conducting inventory analysis. You will also assist in managing accounts payable, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities Support the month‑end closing process.
Provide weekly, monthly, and annual inventory support and analyze inventory variances.
Prepare schedules for prepaid expenses and accruals.
Manage accounts payable and serve as backup for accounts receivable.
Prepare and enter journal entries as required.
Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including intercompany accounts.
Assist with fixed asset record keeping.
Provide backup support for income statement, financial bridge, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial packages and assist with budgeting.
Generate ad‑hoc financial reports as needed.
Essential Skills Experience in month‑end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Proficiency in financial statement preparation and reporting.
Strong skills in budget analysis and cost accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Cost accounting experience is a plus.
Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
