Job Summary Georgia Gwinnett College invites applicants for a one‑semester, full‑time Visiting Lecturer in Biology. The candidate will report to the Chair of the Biological Sciences Department and will primarily teach undergraduate biology courses, including general biology for biology majors and non‑majors. The appointment will begin January 1, 2026. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community, and will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate biology courses (general biology for majors and non‑majors).

Engage students in active learning and promote inclusive teaching practices.

Participate in advising and mentoring activities as expected of all faculty.

Attend departmental meetings and contribute to program development.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the department chair.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in the teaching discipline; or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credits in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
