Virtual Training Dates : 4/25, 5/9, 5/16 (12‑6 pm EST)
Job Summary Help run all facets of a self‑directed camp. You will oversee daily operations, manage staff, build relationships with parents and campers, and maintain safety and compliance.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Share responsibility for the employee life‑cycle for seasonal teams up to 30, including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation.
Act as on‑site manager for an 8‑11 week camp with an average of 150 campers per day and manage budget, logistics, and inventory.
Handle crises, emergencies, behavioral and medical responses.
Respond to email and phone inquiries and provide exceptional customer service for camp families.
Ensure compliance with company, city, and state policies.
Manage a six‑figure budget for personnel, food, and programming.
Oversee logistics, inventory, and janitorial arrangements with the host school.
Maintain relationships with the host school and oversee security and site planning.
Job Requirements
At least 25 years old with a high school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 prior seasons of administrative or supervisory experience in a camp or summer program with children.
Past management or leadership experience required; hiring and managing teams of 5+ preferred.
Visible ACA compliance (25 years). Physical demands include extended periods standing, moving, and occasional exertion.
Director expected on‑site during camp and to perform marketing, recruiting, and promotion off‑camp.
Physical Requirements
Follow all safety and health rules.
Maintain clean and accessible activity spaces.
Assist in camp set‑up and breakdown during move‑in and move‑out weekends.
Stand for long periods while supervising and facilitating activities.
Participate in athletic games.
