Job Description This position will play a key role in administering essential day‑to‑day HR tasks across a wide variety of HR priorities, including but not limited to employee benefits, leaves of absence, HR compliance (policy and procedure), payroll and time‑keeping support, and employee relations. Thorough knowledge of HR and benefits principles and practices is critical to success in this role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Process transactions in HRIS system; become subject‑matter expert for Workday and ADP transactions, including preparation, validation, and analysis of reporting, identification of errors in system integration transaction

Support the onboarding process including pre‑employment screening, background investigation, conducting orientation, benefit plan overview, payroll documents, policy distribution, and supporting employee access to various systems

Work with HR team members to support the overall HR operations: including supporting team member inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, time and attendance, vacation, and general company policies, escalating as appropriate

Accurately maintain employee personnel files, electronic data and other employee information in a confidential manner and in compliance with applicable policies, laws and records retention schedule

Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations (EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.)

Required Skills

Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization, as well as external third‑party administrators

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel (pivot tables and lookup functions) and SharePoint

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines

Excellent problem‑solving skills

Strong interpersonal skills (characterized by availability, respect for others, and the ability to work across functional, departmental, and organizational lines)

A courteous and professional demeanor

Able to work independently; self‑starter

Required Experience

1–3 years of relevant work experience in HR or HRIS and working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: HRIS systems, recruitment and selection, performance management, employment labor law; training and development, safety and security, organizational development, management practices, disciplinary action and terminations, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, and policy writing

Level of Education

Bachelor's Degree required preferably in information systems, computer science, human resources or business administration
