Location: New York, Chicago, and Boston
At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence. We help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help build a better working world.
EY is a leader in serving the global financial services marketplace and the only professional services firm with a separate business unit dedicated to the financial services industry – the Financial Services Organization (FSO). Our focused model and bold ambition have put us at the center of the events that continue to reshape and redefine our industry, working side by side with a range of clients from our most venerable institutions to dynamic new entrants across Banking and Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management and Insurance.
The Opportunity
As part of our Asset & Wealth Management practice, you’ll help clients better align their operating models, data, and technology with their business strategies. Our work spans the full investment value chain—from front-office strategy and product development to middle- and back-office transformation and digital enablement.
You’ll serve both traditional and alternative asset managers, wealth platforms, and service providers, working on initiatives that enable efficiency, scale, and transparency. Increasingly, this includes supporting clients as they expand into Private Markets and semi-liquid alternative products—helping bridge the operational and regulatory complexities between public and private investments.
This is an opportunity to build deep expertise across a diverse set of asset classes while developing future-ready consulting skills in operations, technology, data, and regulatory change.
Key Responsibilities
Support clients across the investment management lifecycle, from product development and investment operations to fund accounting, data management, and reporting.
Help design and implement target operating models that improve scalability, cost efficiency, and governance across front-, middle-, and back-office functions.
Participate in technology-enabled transformations, including system selection and implementation (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Geneva, Investran, eFront, or equivalent).
Work with clients on emerging areas such as outsourcing strategy, automation, and digital operating models.
Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing within the team, particularly around market convergence between traditional and alternative investments.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across service lines to bring integrated EY solutions spanning operations, data, risk, finance, and technology.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Solid understanding of the asset and wealth management industry, including investment operations, product structures, and client segments.
Interest or experience in Private Markets and Alternatives (e.g., Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, or secondaries).
Ability to translate complex business and operational requirements into practical, technology-enabled solutions.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into actionable insights for clients.
Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced consulting environments.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or related discipline; MBA or MS preferred.
Five to seven years of progressive experience in:
A traditional or alternative asset management firm, fund administrator, or wealth platform, or
Financial services consulting with exposure to investment operations or technology transformation.
Familiarity with investment systems such as Aladdin, Charles River, Eagle, eFront, Investran, Geneva, etc.
Strong experience with process improvement, system implementation, project management, or middle-office outsourcing.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and client service skills.
Willingness to travel as required; valid driver’s license and passport.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Prior consulting experience with a Big 4 or other global professional services firm.
Exposure to Private Markets operations, fund structures, or investor reporting.
Understanding of how digital platforms, automation, and data solutions are transforming the investment management ecosystem.
Experience assessing vendor solutions or service providers for fund accounting, data management, or performance measurement.
Interest in the intersection of public and private markets, and how firms are evolving to serve institutional and wealth clients more effectively.
What We Look For
We’re looking for passionate, curious professionals who combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll have the autonomy to drive meaningful change for clients while collaborating with peers across EY’s global network.
If you’re excited by the opportunity to work across traditional and alternative investments — and to help define the operating models powering the future of Asset & Wealth Management — this role is for you.
EY accepts applications for this position on an on-going basis.
EY focuses on high-ethical standards and integrity among its employees and expects all candidates to demonstrate these qualities.
EY is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities including veterans with disabilities.
