Tax Manager – National Real Estate (EisnerAmper)

Work You’ll Be Responsible For
Research and analysis of federal income tax issues, including real‑estate tax, partnerships, REITs, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, and accounting methods.
Transactional analysis and tax structuring related to real‑estate acquisitions, restructuring, dispositions, and joint‑venture/fund/REIT/blocker structures.
Manage REIT tax structuring and due diligence projects for real‑estate acquisition transactions.
Consult and advise on like‑kind exchanges and reverse like‑kind exchanges, focusing on tax implications.
Review fund documents, joint‑venture/partnership agreements, and tax consequences of economic agreements.
Draft emails and memos.
Review tax projections, workpapers, and tax returns for real‑estate clients.
Oversee and manage the tax return process, identifying and resolving tax issues.
Monitor legislative and administrative updates affecting real‑estate and REIT clients and develop internal/external content.
Draft firm‑wide alerts on current developments.
Assist with firm‑wide trainings in federal income tax.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting and advisory experience.
J.D. and Tax LL.M. (preferred).
Experience with partnership and REIT accounting and tax concepts.
Proficiency with tax research databases (e.g., Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Significant experience working with partnerships, REITs, S corporations, and/or C corporations.
Experience with Delaware Statutory Trusts.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Advanced proficiency with tax research databases.
