HPN Global is seeking a driven Local Event Sales Manager to join our team!
This role combines proactive sales and business development with a strong focus on social celebrations and lifestyle events. The ideal candidate is equally part relationship builder and capable of converting leads into contracted events.
Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role located in North Scottsdale, AZ, for a Global Account Director for the Greek Market (Fraternities/Sororities). The responsibilities include planning and managing events, driving sales, building and maintaining strong relationships with College Greek systems, ensuring effective communication, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Event Planning and Event Management skills
Sales expertise and Private Events management experience
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
Ability to work on‑site in Scottsdale, AZ
Proven track record in event sales in the Greek market is a plus
Sales & Business Development
Convert inquiries and phone calls into contracted events
Cultivate new social business through outbound sales, networking, and marketing initiatives
Maintain and update CRM software to track leads, client communications, and event progress
Forecast sales activity weekly and maintain a personal book of business
Implement client retention strategies to convert first‑time clients into repeat business
Required Skills
Strong background in event sales and planning, with proven success in social and large groups
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities
Creative and strategic thinker, with the ability to identify booking opportunities
Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Event Management, Sports Management, or related field preferred
Catering Sales, SMERF experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
Entry‑level manager position starting at $50,000–$55,000 annually (can increase with experience) with competitive commissions
