Job Summary Our Security Officers support Harvard Protection in delivering best‑in‑class security and life safety services.
Responsibilities
Maintain a professional demeanor and provide assistance to customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility or building.
Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
Identify incoming and outgoing traffic and remain familiar with customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
Greet everyone in a professional manner.
Answer phones professionally.
Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances.
Enforce facility policies and procedures within the scope of the position.
Perform required patrols on foot or in vehicle.
Prevent theft of company property and ensure authorized removal per customer requirements.
Follow established emergency action plans and.
Monitor alarms and systems.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
State or municipal mandated security officer licenses.
Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Secure guard license or ability to obtain one within an acceptable period.
Reliable means of communication and transportation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
Write routine correspondence, log entries, and incident reports.
Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience helpful.
Benefits Competitive hourly pay rate ($19.00/hr) with health, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401(k) enrollment. Paid shift start Sunday – Thursday 11 pm – 7 am.
